    Focus on Health Care Provider Bankruptcies

    The next few years are expected to see a significant increase in the volume of bankruptcy cases filed by health care providers. Thus far in 2017, the number of bankruptcies in health care-related sectors, including hospitals, physicians’ offices and clinics, specialty outpatient facilities, assisted-living facilities, and other providers, has been surpassed only by bankruptcies in the oil and gas, finance, and retail industries.

    Yes. The requirements for registration with the U.S. Copyright Office are that the work is original, creative and fixed in some form of expression. These requirements do not prevent a marijuana business from registering its works, such as pamphlets, instructional videos or even artwork.

As reported in papers filed with the bankruptcy court, Louisiana Medical failed in its effort to sell its hospital as a going concern prior to commencing its bankruptcy case and is now swiftly winding down its operations due to continuing losses.
