    Vertis Holdings files for bankruptcy in Delaware
    2012-10-16

    On October 10, 2012, Vertis Holdings, Inc. ("Vertis"), and various related entities, filed chapter 11 petitions for bankruptcy in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.  This is Vertis' third time in bankruptcy in recent years.  As stated in the company's Declaration in Support of Chapter 11 Petitions (the "Decl."), Vertis filed a prepackaged bankruptcy in Delaware in July of 2008.  Vertis filed its first bankruptcy in order to merge with American Color Graphics and restructure some of the company's debt.   Decl.

    Plan administrator in Goody's bankruptcy files preference actions

    Introduction

    Recently, the Plan Administrator for the Goody's Family Clothing bankruptcy commenced adversary actions against various defendants in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The Goody's Plan Administrator was appointed pursuant to Goody's plan of reorganization. The Bankruptcy Court approved Goody's plan on October 7, 2008, approximately four months after the company filed for bankruptcy.

    Modular Space Corporation files for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection

    On December 21, 2016, Modular Space Corporation and its affiliated entities (“Modular Space” or the “Debtors”) filed for bankruptcy protection in the U.S. and Canada, to implement a plan to rework its $1 billion load of long-term debt. Modular Space will continue its operations during what the restructuring. Modular Space makes, leases and sells office trailers, mobile offices, temporary classrooms, modular office complexes and portable storage units.

    The operator of the Fox and Hound, Bailey’s Sports Grille and Champps Kitchen and Bar chains filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Wednesday, August 10th, listing debts that significantly exceeded assets.

    Last Call Guarantor LLC and at least eight affiliates (“Debtors”) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The filing constitutes the second bankruptcy filing for chain restaurants.
