Crypto futures exchange CoinFLEX has filed for restructuring in Seychelles as part of its plan to improve its financial situation, CoinDesk.com reported. It applied to the Seychelles Supreme Court for reorganization and restructuring. CoinFLEX will now seek approval from creditors for its restructuring plans. On Tuesday, CoinFLEX sent an email to its creditors stating the exchange is looking to implement the proposals outlined last month, which include issuing depositors with recovery tokens, equity and locked FLEX coins.

Another 2,140 workers at First Quench Retailing, the group behind British off-license chains Threshers and Wine Rack, are losing their jobs after the administrator said it would close 391 more stores by Dec. 20, Reuters reported. Administrator KPMG has already announced the closure of 754 stores with the loss of over 3,600 jobs. It said on Friday it had sold 13 stores and the Wine Rack brand to Venus Wine & Spirits Merchants, sold eight stores to SEP Properties and was still in talks regarding the sale of another 100 stores.

KPMG, the administrators of First Quench Retailing, which owns British off-license chains Threshers and Wine Rack, said on Thursday that 373 stores within the group will close, leading to over 1,738 job losses, Reuters reported. First Quench Retailing, which went into administration last week, operates around 1,200 stores in Scotland, England and Wales and employs 6,300 people. Richard Fleming of KPMG said 247 of the stores will continue to operate until Nov. 25 and 126 until Dec. 2. He added liquidation sales will take place at the loss-making stores, which are to be announced on Friday.

Timbercorp’s forestry assets have been sold for about $345 million to Australian Bluegum Plantations, a wholly owned subsidiary of US timber investment fund Global Forest Partners, The Australian reported. The company intends to set up its headquarters in the Green Triangle region of Victoria and South Australia, and in southwest Western Australia and retain the employees currently working for Timbercorp's forestry business. About $200 million of the sale proceeds have been allocated to about 10,000 so-called growers who invested in Timbercorp's woodlots.

Adaltis Inc, a Canadian medical device maker, said on Friday it was granted protection from its creditors by a Quebec court while it works on a reorganization plan, Reuters reported. Montreal-based Adaltis, which warned earlier this week that it was running out of money, said the Quebec Superior Court approved its application under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (Canada). The court also approved debtor-in-possession financing of up to C$3 million ($2.6 million) through Victoria Square Ventures Inc to fund operations during the reorganization process.

The liquidator of failed whitegoods company Kleenmaid may take legal action against one of the former directors, ABC News reported. The matter involves six Kleenmaid franchises in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Kleenmaid, based on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, went into voluntary administration in April owing about $80 million to creditors. Bradley Young owns Kleenmaid franchises in Jindalee, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast in Queensland, in Warner's Bay in NSW, Mitcham in Victoria, and in Marion in SA.

Barclays Bank has appointed Law of Property Act receivers on five assets owned by Altrincham-based development and investment firm Property Route Ltd, Crain’s Manchester Business reported. The bank has called in charges over five of the company's properties and has appointed the Leeds office of Eddisons as LPA receiver on each. The properties in question are 23 Denison Road and 7 Conningham Road in Victoria Park, Manchester; 35 Canal Bank in Monton, Salford; 108 Ayres Road in Old Trafford and 105 Wilmslow Road in Handforth, Cheshire.
