El Consejo de Ministros ha acordado extender el plazo de solicitud de la financiación avaladapor el Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO), CESCE o CERSA (la financiación avalada), así como elevar los umbrales económicos relativos a la refinanciación de la misma, trasladando dichas modificaciones al Código de Buenas Prácticas.

El 24 de noviembre se publicó en el Boletín Oficial del Estado (BOE) el Real Decreto-ley 27/2021, de 23 de noviembre, por el que se prorrogan determinadas medidas económicas para apoyar la recuperación. Dicha norma recoge, entre otros aspectos, la extensión, hasta 2022, de la aplicación de ciertas medidas favorables a las empresas, en materia concursal, societaria, administrativa y de avales y ayudas públicas.

Yesterday saw the announcement of the collapse of Bulb, one of the UK’s largest energy suppliers, with it being due to be placed into special administration very shortly.

On Monday, Zacaroli J handed down his eagerly anticipated judgment in Lazari Properties (2) Limited (and others) v New Look Retailers Limited (and others).
The New Look landlords challenged the New Look CVA and raised a number of arguments which some believed could be the end of CVAs as we know them. In particular, the New Look landlords argued that CVAs had gone far beyond the use for which they had been intended and sought to challenge the jurisdictional basis upon which some CVAs are implemented.
