Gender pay gap – new regulations come into force
Of interest to all employers with more than 250 employees are the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017 (the Regulations), which came into force on 6 April 2017. Large private and voluntary sector employers (defined as those with 250 or more employees on 5 April of each year) will be required to analyse the “gender pay gap” in bonuses and ordinary pay each April, and publish a report no later than 4 April 2018, and annually thereafter.
